On Friday, April 4th the men of Pi Kappa Phi here at Missouri S&T will be holding a Pedals for Push event. In this event we will be riding a stationary bicycle on campus during the KMNR block party. We will be educating the community about Push America and its values. You have the opportunity to make a donation to Push America based on the number of miles we log on the stationary bike. If you pledge any amount we will put flyers about your company on a table by the stand and include your company name and/or logo on a sponsors banner. Donations in excess of $0.25 per mile with a cap of at least 400 miles will have larger space on the sponsors banner.

Valued Alumni,Pi Kappa Phi, Gamma Lambda Chapter is having an alumni event and would love for all of you to come! It has been a while since the chapter has had an event such as this for our alumni other than St. Pat's and the pig roast. This saddens me. Events like these keep the chapter together with all of the members who came before us and made this house the home that it is for us today. Events like this also allow for those same members to reconnect with the brothers that they lived with during their time here at MS&T/UMR. I know that all of the active members are excited to see you, and I am sure that many of you would enjoy a chance to see each other. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 13, 2012. We will meet at the house for lunch and to and relax in each other's company before we all go bowling at our local bowling alley. Later, we will have dinner at the house and will have the rest of the evening to relax and have fun at the house. Families are always more than welcome!
As our alumni are so important to us, and we want as many of you to be able to come and enjoy the weekend, please let any alumni that you stay in contact with know about this event. Over the years, our alumni relations have faltered, and because of this we do not have the contact information for many of our alumni. I, and the rest of the chapter, am working hard to fix the years of lackadaisical record keeping but we need your help! So please, forward this to any fellow brother know. I am sure that they would appreciate it, as would all of us still here at the house.
Alumni are truly a valuable part of Pi Kappa Phi. I plan to continue having events such as this one, as well as more frequent contact with our alumni. By doing so we can build a greater, lasting connection between not only our alumni now but also every active and every member of Pi kappa Phi henceforth.

Our brothers are planning on hosting our annual Pig Roast on March 12, 2011. All brothers and their families are welcome.
